Women

The Women’s Ministry at First Mennonite church hosts events and opportunities that enable women to share with each other, our community and the world. Recent events have included an Awareness Walk, a two day women’s retreat, a tour of DeBrand’s Chocolate Facility and a Mother/Daughter banquet.

The Women in Mission, or WM, has historically been the dominant women’s ministry at First Mennonite. WM creates opportunities for women to support other women who work full time or work with their husbands on the mission field. The WM group sends birthday cards to each missionary they support and organize food donations for the local food bank. They also raise money by making quilts, comforters and other crafts for the Michiana Relief Sale in Goshen, Indiana. Other creative projects are embraced by WM as they seek to share Christ with the world.

Men

The men at First Mennonite have most recently been involved with the Men’s Fraternity Ministry. This created an opportunity for men to watch short videos and discuss authentic Christian living for men. The Men’s Fraternity Ministry, “…provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.”
