Das Märit Farmers and Artists Market

Das Märit is a not-for-profit ministry of First Mennonite Church with the goal of serving the mind, body and spirit of our community in the name of God. Berne's open-air market is held in the west parking lot of First Mennonite Church from May - October.

There are several changes to the market for the fall.

  • Fall hours are from 9:00 - noon continuing at the west parking lot of First Mennonite Church.
  • Pumpkin waffles will be added to the delicious regular waffles served from 9:00 - 11:15.
  • The final 2023 market will be Saturday, October 7.
Berne's open-air market only supports local vendors that "Make It, Bake It or Grow It" in Adams and surrounding areas.  Please support local commerce.

Vendors selling produce or baked goods should be aware of new Indiana law HEA 1149 that requires the vendor to obtain a food handler certification. For more information about becoming a vendor call Becky Lehman at 260-849-1603 or Hazel Lautzenheiser at 260-849-0527.
